E ngā manuhiri tūārangi, e ngā manene, he uri tēnei nō Muriwhenua me taku meatanga ake, e tino tautoko ana tēnei pakihi-manaaki-manuhiri o Ngāwaka rāua ko Danielle Setiu.
To all our foreign visitors from near and far, I fully endorse Care CNC as a place where you can kick back and throw off your worries, tune back into nature and it’s surrounding. Waimahana is a very special place that invites you into rest, to reflect, slow-down in mind, body and spirit.
I visited lwith my son Asher and can honestly say, we didn’t want to leave. We personally have whakapapa links (genealogical links) to this place and it’s people and so, it holds a special place in my heart.
We look forward to our next visit...

"Thank you, CareCNC,
for this blissful time,
your hospitality and your kindness! "
The days with CareCNC were what made my short visit to Aotearoa (New Zealand) so special! CareCNC welcomed me into their home with such a warm heart and eagerness to share space, time and knowledge. They told me a lot about the Māori traditions and way of living. CareCNC took me to Cape Reinga and to collect pipis in a river bed (which we prapared later). We visited one of the family's Marae. We talked about the local plants and even tried the fresh Mānuka flower - a first for both of us. 😄 The CareCNC caretaker caught and prepared fresh fish right from the bay where the house is. I had such a wonderful and peaceful time there. I enjoyed the simplicity of the Māori way of living, the quiet bay, the sounds of the water, surrounded by nature, fresh self-caught/-collected food, a horse visiting us in the morning. It is such a down to earth living! Thank you, CareCNC, for this blissful time, your hospitality and your kindness! ❤️

"I experienced firsthand the peaceful and warming waters"
Danie lle, Ngāwaka and I fully love CareCNC and the Indigenous hosting we experienced in Tahiti together which birthed the Waimahana whare business. We believe it can hold space well and intentionally for respite, retreat, camping, wānanga, training, mental and emotional peer support for those in need or want. I experienced firsthand the peaceful and warming waters of life that allow me to sleep for two days and nights in order to restore my burnout and to seek the Lord. The food is yum as and the hosting is natural and warm. Ngāwaka guided me to the marae, urupā and the moana out front. He presented Ngāti Aukiwa the hapū and Ngāti Kahu the iwi in very positive storytelling. Can’t wait to return and use my digger and pool company trade experience to help make improvements and changes to the whare. Even better, to eat kina, pipi and boil up! Imagine a hangi pit too. Hearty my whānau, CareCNC, people, place on purpose. Nei rā te reo maioha ki a koutou, tātou katoa.
